George was born in Portsmouth in 1988 and now lives and paints in his studio in Barons court, London.

He was taught to paint by Charles Cecil in Firenze, where he returns regularly as an instructor and to continue his education.

He is inspired by the old masters and paints using the same materials and techniques as they did. All of the portraits are oil on canvas.

The subjects in his portraits are painted life-sized as he hopes to transmit a sense of the presence of the person.
